A Volunteer Manager applicant goes on a job interview. The interviewer asks, “And what starting salary are you looking for?"
The Volunteer Manager applicant replies, "Somewhere in the neighborhood of $95,000 a year.” The interviewer smiles and says, "Well, what would you say to equal pay in comparison to all of our other managers, a month’s vacation, genuine recognition of your role, a company policy that values volunteering, financial support for your CAVA membership, and an annual appreciation party to reward all the volunteers? The Volunteer Manager applicant sits up straight and exclaims, "Wow! Are you kidding?" And the interviewer answers, "Yeah, but you started it." Join us on Linked In!
